Dr. Cheryl Browne is the SVP and Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) at Intellegi. Dr. Browne is a research scientist who specializes in Developmental Psychology, including cognitive development, metacognition, social/emotional learning and wellness, program evaluation, and assessment.
Dr. Browne has worked as a researcher/evaluator at Harvard Medical School, Harvard Graduate School of Education, New England Research Institutes, Career Agility, and University of Massachusetts Memorial Health’s Center for Mindfulness, and serves as a consultant for academic researchers. She has been an avid mindfulness practitioner for over twenty years. A fan of puppetry, she has worked with Jim Henson Productions for their International Puppetry Festival at the Public Theater in New York City.
Dr. Browne has a unique ability to translate complex ideas into accessible language for a variety of audiences. She is a problem solver who is also a sought-after counselor in times of crisis, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams across cultural and geographic boundaries.
Dr. Browne earned a BA in Psychology from Yale University and a PhD in Developmental Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin with minors in Statistics and Philosophy. Her doctoral research focused on children’s understanding of causation in the social and physical domains and how people make sense of the world through mental models that are updated as they learn.
Dr. Browne also plays several instruments and enjoys playing and creating music with others across many genres.
