Janelle Johnson, PhD

VP, Chief Learning Officer

Dr. Janelle M. Johnson is Vice-President and Chief Learning Officer at Intellegi. Dr. Johnson is an Associate Professor of STEM Education at Metropolitan State University of Denver and co-editor of STEM21: Equity in Teaching and Learning to Meet Global Challenges of Standards, Engagement, and Transformation (2018). Her primary areas of focus involve addressing disparities and improving learning outcomes for participants in both formal and informal STEM settings.

Dr. Johnson is a leading consultant for the Increasing Marginalized Girls Access to STEM initiative of the National Girls Collaborative in partnership with the Georgetown Center on Poverty and Inequality, the White House Domestic Policy Council and Council on Women and Girls, and the U.S. Department of Education. She taught Math and Science to multilingual students in Guatemala and in Arizona.

Her Master’s and PhD are from the department of Teaching, Learning & Sociocultural Studies at the University of Arizona.
